How long will it take? 

The overall time spent looking after the fish is less than 20mins a day

Who can do it?

Anyone! On installation we will train as many staff as you wish to look after the tank. The more the merrier it is best that everyone is trained on it so that people take a mutual responsibility for the welfare of the fish. Also if holidays and sickness crop up it means that the fish won't get neglected.

Do i need a marine biology degree to do it?

Thankfully no! The maintainence is very very basic. There are two main tasks and as long as you can read and follow simple instructions it is very easy.

What does it involve?

On a daily basis you will need to change 25 litres of water. This means taking a bucket of water out of the tank and replacing it with a fresh bucket of water. You will also need to test the water quality, this involves sticking a test strip in the water and matching the colour of the stick to a colour chart on the box.

I hope that doesnt sound too daunting but you will be left with a cheat sheet explaining exactly what to do but if in doubt please give us a call and we will be happy to help either on the phone or via a visit.

If I cant be bothered to do these tasks can you do it for me?

Unfortunately not although we would love to visit you on a daily basis it wouldnt be practical as we have our own business too run. However for an additional monthly maintanence fee we can set up a weekly call to do a large water change, a filter clean and additional testing. This will cut down on the importance of your maintanence as we will be able to keep on top of things for you.

Are there any additonal costs to the maintanence process?

Yes! As part of your ongoing up keep of the fish spa you will need to purchase fish food and water treatments to keep your fish healthy. We can provide these as per our price list. The items are very cheap and very efficient so its likely to cost you less than £20 a month in supplements.
